The primary purpose of this website is to share published medical literature that relates to the role of latent syphilis in HIV/AIDS. Some of the papers included on this website were co-authored by John Scythes and his medical friends. These more current articles were published between 1989 – 2013.
Other papers on this site are not easily found, but are critical to understanding the morbidity and mortality of syphilis over the centuries. These papers were mainly published in the 1940s and early 1950s. The papers belong in current medical teaching about syphilis.
